“Moved Childhood” Congress for the 8th time in Osnabruck
The Osnabruck Congresses, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Renate Zimmer, are now part of tradition.
The next “Moved Childhood” Congress takes place from 28.02.2013 to 02.03.2013.
Additionally, this time also an attractive programme is planned, promising a successful mix of theory and practice. The focus of the programme is the topic of “inclusion” as one of the major educational-political challenges for all educational establishments. 150 individual events, in different thematic contexts, shall be working on the issue of how children can reach their full potential and can discover their resources involving exercise.
The 8th Osnabruck Congress will open on 28.02.2013 with a lecture by philosopher Prof. Dr. Nida-Rümelin on “The Psychological Dimension of Education”. In 18 main lectures, 4 forums and in over 150 workshops and seminars presentations will be given relating to scientific insights into the development, education and upbringing of children and a variety of practical suggestions for the creation of a “Moved Childhood” will be provided. One hundred and forty renowned speakers from Germany and abroad guarantee to provide sophisticated content for the Congress. An interesting support line-up, e.g. a performance by the improvisational theatre “Die Springmaus” (lit. The Jumping Mouse), will round off the programme.
The “Moved Childhood” Congress is organised by the Institute of Sport and Sport Sciences at the University of Osnabruck in cooperation with the Lower Saxon Institute for Early Childhood Education and Development and its research centres for exercise and psycho-motor skills. The Minister President of the State of Lower Saxony, David McAllister, took over the sponsorship. Eight weeks prior to the event, the Congress is already fully booked with 3,000 participants: www.bewegtekindheit.de
