Synthetic turf fall-protection provides numerous advantages

Reduced risk of injury and lower maintenance outlay

Photo

These systems have an equally soft as clean surface which remains bouncy and elastic even under the effects of permanent frost. In cases of falls from heights of up to 3.10 m, this significantly minimises the risk of injury. While such falls onto hard, natural surfaces can result in bruising or abrasion injuries, the synthetic turf fall-protection ensures a clear reduction of this risk. Suitable protective measures for playground surfaces are absolutely indispensable and should be oriented, for example to the HIC values (Head Injury Criterion). Reliable remedial measures can be achieved, above all in a combination of synthetic turf with so-called shock pads. The synthetic turf system is approved as per DIN EN 1177 and EN 1176-1 and tested by a German institute certified for sport facility testing. A further advantage is that the material which is permeable to water can be used with practically no interruption. Even after heavy rain showers no puddles are formed as the material dries extremely quickly. This surface also provides clear advantages for parents – grass stains on clothes are a thing of the past. In contrast to natural surfaces, maintenance work by organisers is also a factor which should not be underestimated. The synthetic turf requires no special care either in summer or winter – only in exceptional cases such as large quantities of fallen leaves, must the surface be specially cleaned in order to ensure efficient drainage of water. If this care is provided, the evergreen surface will last for many years and can then even be recycled.
