Omni-Gym: The new outdoor gym

Omni-Gym is a new concept that provides a variety of outdoor fitness activities.

A complete outdoor gym of a compact design can be created, which builds on the benefits and options offered at an indoor gym and combines them with the “luxury” of being outside in the fresh air. The planners can decide themselves on the mix between cardio equipment, strength training equipment and cross-trainers. The Omni-Gym can thus become the focal point for sports in a residential area, an activity zone or for example in a campsite. The concept ensures a high degree of flexibility in planning. The floor is covered with poured rubber for a pleasantly soft surface.
The fitness equipment covers a wide range and allows you to train and improve your stamina (“cardio”), strength and flexibility. As well as fitness equipment, you could also opt to install, for example, punch bags to give the facility an extra special touch. With more compact facilities, changing rooms are an attractive option for users. These can easily be installed in conjunction with multi-function walls, which will give athletes somewhere to put their bags and coats. Besides, you could also put in signs showing sports rules, for example, or a timetable for lessons. Bicycle racks can then be installed behind the wall to further extend the range of services.
The Omni-Gym has been developed as an alternative to an indoor gym: Exercising in the open air is usually healthier than doing the same activity indoors. The design of Omni-Gym also takes into account that a gym makes a great meeting place for many people. For “Sports is also a social activity” as Senior Designer Feiko Withagen knows.
