Motorikparks for everyone

Photo

The Merry go round company creates areas for all generations, the Motorikparks™ as they are called. The concept was developed by Austrian sports scientist Dr. Werthner. Over the past 11 years, more than 15 large Motorikparks and various small Motorikoases have been created in Germany and Austria. Various exercise stations train different muscle groups, which in their diversity form a Motorikpark. Completely different exercises can be compiled from a selection of over 160 different units. It is not about doing the exercises as fast or swiftly as you can but everybody exercises in their own way and at their own pace. The users are diverse, including toddlers, children, school sport groups, members of sports clubs, competitive athletes and top athletes (in Austria two national teams use the Motorikpark™ for their training), amateur and recreational athletes as well as disabled people, partly under the guidance of the state sports association, for example in connection with fall prevention.
You usually get started with Different Walking. The legs and feet are introduced to movements that lead to relaxed contortions and warm up the joints. Besides, due to the variety of movements both cerebral hemispheres are activated and the formation of synapses is promoted. Other exercises are for example the water ski wall, precision fishing, the balancing workshop, the climbing tour, the strength outdoor area and much more. Motorikparks are installed in large parks, like for example in the park in the Buschkrugallee in Berlin-Neukölln, or in exercise areas in old people’s homes or rehabilitation centres.
The first facility in Germany, in Breslauer Straße in Nuremberg, was awarded the Deutscher Spielraumpreis in 2009.
Manufacture and sales at home and abroad are organized by the company Ulrich Paulig & Co. Merry go round OHG in Teltow, mail: info@merrygoround.de.
