Norrmalm is located to the North of Stockholm city centre. At the Rålamshov Park, a brand new Lappset fitness park has been installed. The official opening ceremony was held on 30 September 2013.
Karin Bångman, area sales manager of Lappset Sweden reveals that the design of the products appealed to the customer, the City of Stockholm: “They fell in love with the design of products because it melts into the surroundings of Norrmalm area. Our customer is a young, brave and entrepreneurial lady in the city administration. We have a long customer relationship and she also designed the park, being a landscape architect herself.”
Installation of the sports equipment was done by a third party. According to Karin Bångman, everyone is looking forward to the opening of the park with great expectations.
Street workout & crossfit in Strängnäs
In the City of Strängnäs, a group of street workout fans took the initiative and suggested that a proper workout space in the outdoors should be developed by the city. Said and done, and an old outdoor gym park was redesigned with Lappset’s collection of gym products.
“They came up with the idea after having performed some training sessions on Lappset’s dipbar of the Gym collection. I’m glad that the city administration took the guys’ idea and design proposal seriously. We’re looking forward to opening a completely new outdoor gym park for training of street workout and crossfit in Strängnäs within a couple of weeks”, says Karin Bångman. Strängnäs is located some 85 km to the West of Stockholm.
Training park for crossfit in Eskilstuna
A third fitness park by Lappset around the Stockholm area is going to be opened shortly in the town of Eskilstuna, some 100 km to the West of the Swedish Capital.
“The landscape architect of the city administration became enthusiastic about our design of fitness and gym collections, made the area plans and the city decided to act accordingly”, said Karin Bångman of Lappset Sweden.
