New BSW multi-purpose sports flooring brings cost benefits

Photo

Regupol kombi play is a two-layer synthetic floor which can easily be installed on an unbound, compacted gravel substructure, thus obviating the need for the previous, cost-intensive installation of a bound substructure. The lower elastic layer of Regupol kombi play consists of PUR-bonded rubber granules, while the colourful wear layer consists of compacted EPDM granules. The colour can be freely chosen. Regupol kombi play is a surface type B, as it is termed, and has been tested to meet the requirements of DIN V 18035-6 for multi-purpose game courts. Optimum values for force reduction, sliding behaviour or ball rebound thus conform to the standard; the environmental compatibility has been confirmed. Regupol kombi play is a high-quality multi-purpose sports floor for all game courts measuring between 100 and 400 m2, where fun outweighs sports performance. The in-situ installation and the subsequent line marking will be performed by trained personnel.

DIN EN 1177:2018 Impact Attenuating Playground Surfacing – Test Methods for Determining Impact Attenuation

Fall protection surfaces vary in terms of cost, minimum installation thickness and cleaning and care requirements. It should be noted that the most important property of these surfaces is the safety-related shock absorption. This is the surface's ability to reduce the impact energy that occurs when a child falls from a piece of play equipment. It prevents a critical, even life-threatening, injury.
