Obra receives the Golden Vöckla Award

Photo

This prize is probably one of the most prestigious awards you can receive in this region. Prominent politcians, business people, media representatives and, of course, in particular the prizewinners themselves added a touch of glamour to this unique evening event organized by the regional TV station BTV. The just recently opened VArena shopping centre was a worthy and solemn venue for the 10th Vöckla Awards, which were presented in 12 categories. The charming BTV hosts Mag. Birgit Brunsteiner and Martin Maringer presented the event. Top-flight guests of honour and laudatory speakers such as provincial governor Puehringer, Austrian Federal Minister Fekter, as well as the members of the provincial government of Upper Austria Siegl, Kepplinger and Anschober insisted on attending the presentation ceremony.
Obra-Design received the Golden Vöckla Award in the category “Tourism” for the Obra-Kinderland. The prize was presented by Christian Payrhuber (Austrian brewery Brau Union Österreich). Only two and a half months after the opening of the activity-packed leisure park with Obra play equipment, engineer Peter Philipp, company founder and initiator of the project, is of course particularly proud: “I am very pleased about this award, which comes as a big surprise to me, but is also a confirmation of my idea to build a leisure park packed with active play equipment. The visitor numbers provide impressive proof that my concept has worked and has been a complete success.“ Christian Payrhuber is convinced that Obra-Design deservedly won the Vöckla Award for the Obra-Kinderland as the latter draws a large number of visitors, which has clearly led to a revitalization of the region.
