Comprehensive range of top-quality timber bridges

Photo

The harmonious integration into the landscape and scenery is one of the highly acclaimed features of these spectacular self-supporting bridges with a span length of up to 40 metres, which have become popular destinations in their own right. Take, for example, the suspension bridge in Latrop. This striking structure is undoubtedly one of the highlights along the popular Rothaarsteig trail. Another fine example is the Wuppertal Zoo suspension footbridge spanning over 60 metres, with two bridge parts of approximately 25 metres. This bridge, too, blends in seamlessly with the surroundings. All wooden parts are made of untreated oak. The bridge has been fully integrated into the tree population, its colour even matching that of the trees. The bridge virtually merges into the leaves and trunks of the old trees. Working in close co-operation with the City of Wuppertal, Pieper Holz as the general contractor was responsible for planning, construction, structural calculations, ground work, pile foundation, foundation work and final assembly.
Pieper Holz offers a comprehensive range of top-quality timber bridges, ranging from straight bridges and arched bridges for gardens or parks, the well-known and well-engineered arched or straight pedestrian and cycle bridges with wooden or steel beams, to the described, uniquely designed bridges. Pieper Holz is your competent, reliable and creative partner when it comes to timber bridges. (www.pieperholz.de)
