What is energy? Where does it come from? How does it originate?
The scientific year of energy will get you curious about rediscovering the origin of energy. Children are inquisitive by nature. The aim is to get particularly them enthusiastic about the topic of energy. For the enthusiasm of the younger generation is a basis for the innovations of tomorrow.
SIK-Holz has been working on a concept to communicate to children and adults about the topic of “energy” in a descriptive, fascinating and playful way for a year: In a large energy garden, individual people or groups can create energy by moving play items. The created energy is compared with regenerative energy. Thus, light, wind and water energy can be brought to life using your own muscle strength. A “big machine” with countless rises and outflows, climbing walls and rope bridges symbolises a “particle accelerator”, in which the children undertake the function of the “particle”. Connected to the “big machine” are different laboratories where you can experiment with warmth, magnetism and electricity. Information boards within the garden ensure purposeful, lasting exposure to energy and natural resources.
