Hillesheim enjoys exercising and sports on a new level with CONIPUR

Photo

Since the beginning of October 2010, the refurbished sports facility
in Hillesheim has been the perfect venue for sports enthusiasts,
which has resulted in an increased interest in youth and mass sports
nationwide.

In order to offer a wide variety of sports, the "D" areas of the field are also being used. For example, artificial turf has been laid for a volleyball court, and a multipurpose surface has been installed for ball games. More intensive use of the field is possible thanks to the easy maintenance of the artificial turf.

The right partners and products provided everything Hillesheim needed. Sports facility supplier Corder Bau, which produced the elastic layer with Conipur 324 and the track with Conipur SW, provided professional consulting and installation, while Dutch artificial turf expert Henitech and Trofil Sportbodensysteme laid the artificial turf using the new Conipur 106 turf adhesive. A Conipur 2S system was used for the multipurpose surface in the "D" area. All companies involved used Conipur from BASF due to its optimal quality, innovation and cost-effectiveness.

That was clearly the right choice, and the project managers are delighted with the satisfaction shown by the residents of Hillesheim. Confirmation comes in the form of plans for an identical sports facility in Jünkerath.

Inclusive sports and inclusive sports facilities – still a long way to go

Inclusion and inclusive infrastructure design are still very topical issues. On the one hand, this is very positive and shows that people are aware of the issue and also want to promote it. On the other hand, however, it also shows that we are not making as much progress as we would like to and that there are still clear deficits.
