Spring care for sports fields

After the long winter months, a comprehensive maintenance programme is especially important to ensure a successful sporting season - Polytan is on hand with advice and tips

In order to ensure that this continues and to guarantee the sporting success of next season, the surface must be cared for properly. Abrasion, dust, dirt and air pollutants, in addition to the weather, all pose considerable challenges for even the most durable surface. Through timely cleaning, the lifespan of a sports surface can be significantly increased, thus maintaining the value and functional properties of sports facilities at minimum costs.

With proper care and maintenance, Polytan sports surfaces are particularly durable. In order to ensure this over a long period of time, Polytan regularly informs its customers of environmentally-friendly and cost-effective cleaning measures, whilst offering constant advice and support. In order to combat weathered, moss-covered and encrusted synthetic surfaces, for instance, the Polymobil is on hand to carry out a thorough cleaning process. The special truck uses a swivel procedure to ensure deep cleaning, whilst simultaneously sucking up the dirty water, filtering out abrasion and dirt and using the wash water in an environmentally and resource-friendly manner.

In addition to dirt and contaminants, hardened silica sand and rubber granule-filled artificial turf gradually become impermeable and therefore unusable. Depending on the artificial turf system used, Polytan offers a range of care programmes to clean, loosen and level the turf and filling. Polytan is also well-equipped for the rehabilitation and maintenance of surfaces. Depending on the damage at hand, a team of Polytan specialists make light work of re-creating an optimal sports surface, making exciting results like 5-4 in penalties to the home team or 6-4, 5-7 and 7-6 for a real three-match thriller possible again this season.

For 40 years, Polytan has been installing sports surfaces all over the world. Polytan offers production, sales and installation from one single source. Continuous research and development, quality control and the company’s own installation service guarantee the highest product standards and impeccable, professional installation. The accompanying service extends their durability and saves considerable costs. For further information, please visit www.polytan.de.
