The modern surfacing system for multi-purpose sports facilities
The strength is relevant to all ball games where the ball’s bouncing and rebound properties are the determining factor. If, for example, the floor is very soft, the ball rebound will be too slow and too low, which, for instance, affects basketball or tennis. Another relevant aspect relates to the surface’s shock-absorbing properties. This is important with regard to injury prevention as soft surfacing can attenuate and absorb the impact forces upon players’ bodies when landing or falling and thus avoid injuries.
From a safety point of view, the surface’s skid resistance has to be considered, which may very easily lead to accidents and injuries, in particular under wet conditions.
Not only do the Euroflex Sports Pavement Slabs have a fall height approved and certified by TÜV SÜD in accordance with the 1177:2008 standard and the GS (“Tested Safety”) mark, but they also meet the most exacting requirements on sports grounds and are tested to the DIN V 18035-6 standard.
The Euroflex Sports Pavement Slabs are thus an attractive alternative to in-situ synthetic surfaces. The outstanding ball rebound properties were tested in accordance with DIN V 18032-2.
The high level of compression is reflected in the high abrasion resistance. In combination with their high elasticity, Euroflex Sports Pavement Slabs provide effective cushioning for players’ ligaments and joints.
The tested sound attenuation by 23dBA reduces noise exposure for residents. Line application on the surface is easy, allowing markings for all types of sports.
Euroflex Sports Pavement Slabs can be used in facilities for a wide range of sports and leisure activities. Successful applications include paved areas for football, streetball, street hockey and volleyball or cross-generational leisure facilities as well as peripheral surfacing around table tennis tables. Integrated connector pins permit fast, easy and cost-efficient installation.
