The 330k contract is part of a wider HLF funded park restoration worth in the region of 12 million pounds, which aims to breathe new life into Victoria Park, within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Working in conjunction with Landscape Architects, LDA Design and principal contractors, Geoffrey Osborne Limited the play area will include Timberplay’s signature pieces, a Pyramid Tower and Climbing Forest. Sand and water also feature heavily within the design.
Martyn Scholey, Sales & Marketing Director at Timberplay says; “To win a contract to supply our play equipment right next to the Olympic Village is a considerable coup for Timberplay. Our play equipment will be seen and used by thousands of children from around the world during the Olympics and will remain in place for thousands more to use for many years after the 2012 Games have ended.”
