Final report of 2010: Over 60,000 trade visitors to GaLaBau
With both its specialist areas, PLAYGROUND and German golf course days, GaLaBau in Nuremberg had precisely 60,127 trade visitors on Saturday 18 September 2010, following four trade fair days. “The mood in the trade fair halls was great. Our exhibitors all had their hands full, because there is currently a high demand for new machines and equipment such as plants and materials. The trade fair came just at the right time,” said Rolf Keller, member of Management at the Nuremberg Trade Fair. 1,076 exhibitors, of which 17 percent were from countries other than Germany, presented the complete range for “green” planning, construction and maintenance.
Exhibitors and visitors, were surveyed during their time at GaLaBau by an independent market research institute. The exhibitors were not only satisfied with the number of visitors who came (96 %), but, in particular, with the professional qualifications of visitors (96 %). Nine out of ten of exhibitors had visitors from abroad come to their trade fair stand. As far as the economic situation is concerned, 58 % of exhibitors expect the situation to improve, 29 % expect it to stay the same. 86 % of trade visitors are included in the purchasing decisions of their company. Every second GaLaBau visitor is in a leading position. Primarily, the specialist audience came from companies related to horticulture, landscaping and playground construction (46 %), or awarding authorities (13 %) or landscape and garden architects (10 %). Furthermore, planners and operators of playground and leisure facilities, operators and managers of golf courses, (head) green keepers as well as golf course architects are interested in the trade fair specialist areas PLAYGROUND and German golf course days.
