With a ceremony, the Minister started the “Regional Environmental Pact” in Lower Franconia on 29 July 2011. Dr. Markus Söder, Bavarian Minister of the Environment, appointed six prominent figures of the industry as Ambassadors of the Environmental Pact in Lower Franconia. They are promoting the idea of the Environmental Pact. Furthermore, at a ceremony he honoured 24 members of the Environmental Pact of Lower Franconia for their long-standing commitment. Amongst them was also Tilo Eichinger, CEO of eibe Produktion + Vertrieb GmbH & Co. KG in Röttingen. A trend-setting example of eibe’s sustainability policy is their wood heating. 96% of eibe’s heating and fuels and 26% of their electricity is generated from renewable energy sources. Therefore it is only logical that eibe have invested in a new electric fork-lift truck, which completely manages without any fossil fuels. The new electric fork-lift truck is employee-friendly as it produces low emission levels and provides noise protection both for the employees in the workshops and for residents. Furthermore, it helps reduce CO2 emissions. By investing in three new lorries with a particularly aerodynamic silhouette, eibe take a further step towards CO2 emission reduction. Nevertheless, the lorries offer a large shipping volume of 20 m3. These vehicles, which have been tested and optimized in the wind tunnel, will help our employees with the delivery and installation of playgrounds and interior furnishings. (www.eibe.net)
