In October 2011, the »Mohican Post Football« manufactured by VelopA won the Dutch design award for good industrial design (»Goed Industrieel Ontwerp«, GIO). This award, which was presented at the Dutch Design Week, is considered the most important quality mark for good industrial design in the Netherlands. To qualify for the GIO Award, products must not only have an aesthetic design, but also meet the highest standards of functionality, originality, ease of use and innovation…
‘The fact that several of our successful products have already won a GIO award is proof of the added value of well designed products,’ says Michel Middendorp, Sales Director International and Managing Director at VelopA. All products are very durable and designed to withstand intensive use. ‘The product has to work perfectly throughout its entire useful life, however, at the same time nobody wants to look at an unsightly object for years.
