The “Sound Chord” appeals to children and adults alike and is particularly suitable for installation in city centres, parks, spas and health resorts as well as rehabilitation centres. It is part of the “Play Stations for the Development of the Senses”, which were developed and constructed by Wolfram Graubner following Hugo Kükelhaus’ concept, and was now developed further by Richter Spielgeräte GmbH: The use of special screws enables easy retensioning of the strings so that the object can be easily tuned. Objects with acoustic effects are very attractive in open space; however, they have to be planned with extra diligence: loud or subdued, harmonious or dissonant, strong or soft – sound objects are definitely an installation in urban space that is in fact anything but commonplace. Through good combination and arrangement, wonderful and unique sound clouds and sound worlds can be created.
