A climbing tower for Öhringen

Photo

This year the State Garden Show takes place in Öhringen. In addition to numerous events the show got one special attraction. On April 13th, the KristallTurm® Mini has officially opened. The high ropes course opening ceremony was accompanied by a fireworks display and live music. The town Öhringen is particularly proud that this project has been funded by its citizens. The required financial resources have been donated from large and small regional companies which through their sponsorship received the opportunity to present themselves in the high ropes course. For example, each individual step of the staircase could be bought by committed citizens and members of the „Freundeskreis“, a group of sponsors. Each step now features the name of its sponsor. Individual climbing elements have also been sponsored and have been designed according to the sponsors wishes.

The KristallTurm® Mini features three climbing levels, an event platform, a floodlight system, a zip line and an abseiling station and includes 36 climbing elements. Some of the themed elements include a bridge made of wine barrels, music notes and a bed of roses.

A kid‘s course featuring an old school bench from the year 1900 provides climbing fun even for the youngest visitors.

One of the highlights of the assembly of the KristallTurm® Mini for the State Garden Show was the installation of a steel pole supported by a helicopter. The helicopter carried the individual components to the other side of the river and located it precisely on top of the prepared foundation. Joining their forces, the staff of KristallTurm®, Helix Fluggesellschaft and the Building Authority Öhringen could successfully complete the complicated maneuver within only one hour. The KristallTurm® team especially enjoyed this spectacular installation and is proud of their newest high ropes course.
